چکیده

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) based filters have a prospective advantage compared to the commercial due their lightweight and ability work without electricity or heat. The manganese (Mn) removal from aqueous solutions by oxidized multi-walled carbon (O-MWCNTs) was investigated. filtration performance studied under ambient conditions: solution pH, initial concentration, MWCNT-filter mass. samples of MWCNT-filters were investigated using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) rutherford backscatter spectrometry (RBS) account for content within MWCNT-filter. These techniques conducted study oxidation effect on morphology MWCNTs evaluate oxygen functional groups average diameter distribution. Based these examinations, competence Mn may exceed 91% 50 ppm concentration Mn, proposing that functionalized is promising filter. achieved at low pH with enhancement 2. Functionalized are candidate heavy metal ions industrial wastewater.

Dispersive micro solid-phase extraction using multiwalled carbon nanotubes for simultaneous determination of trace metal ions by energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry.

A methodology based on dispersive micro solid-phase extraction (DMSPE) using multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as solid sorbent prior to measurement with energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometry is proposed. The procedure consists of chelating of nickel, cobalt, copper, and lead ions with ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) and posterior adsorption of metal chelates ...

Determining the Content of Silicon Dioxide in Bauxites Using X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry

The X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and the MA.BM.006 reference spectrophotometric methods were used to determine the content of SiO2 (%) in bauxites from different deposits. The treatment of samples prior to the analysis involved the following steps: annealing, melting using the borax method,  and the formation of beads. Certified reference bauxite samples were used for the cali...

Simultaneous determination of trace elements in serum by energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometry.

Energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence is applied in the analysis of human serum to determine the concentrations of several elements simultaneously with minimal manipulation of the sample. The analytical procedure has been developed with standard sera, and standardization, detection limits, and reproducibility have been established. A 50-microL sample of diluted serum, to which an internal standa...

Analysis of the elemental concentrations in rat femur's head using energy dispersive X ray fluorescence spectrometry

EDXRF spectrometry is used normally to determine the concentration of the different elements in a sample with advantages of good sensitivity, multielemental capabilities, fast, non-destructive and because of this simple relation to the fundamental physics of atom-radiation interaction, make of EDXRF a highly attractive analytical technique. A major goal for research in biomedical sciences over ...
